ENROLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Enrolment must be made two weeks prior to the beginning of classes. There will be a maximum of 14 students accepted for each class, and a minimum of 10. Classes will be offered 3 times per year commencing; July through August, December through February and February through April.

FEES

The full cost of enrolment is $5,000.00 (plus GST) for the full seven-week 3 day program. This fee includes tuition, supplies, specimens, materials and an instruction manual.

The specimens include one walleye pike, one whitetail deer head, one grouse, one red squirrel, and one raccoon. Tools will be provided by the college but will be handed in at the completion of the program.

A $100 deposit toward the tuition is required with the completed enrolment contract. The remainder of the fees is due upon commencement of classes. The deposit will be refunded if the college cancels for classes or does not accept the student.

The college will accept money orders, certified checks or cash. No personal checks, please! Upon acceptance, a letter will be sent by the college to the registrant.

EVALUATION AND DIPLOMA

Students will receive a Diploma in Taxidermy following the successful completion of all units of study.

There are no written examinations. Students will be graded on the finished product. A grade course of 60% or better is required to pass each unit. A student who fails a unit will be required to retake the unit.

To receive the Diploma, a passing mark is required for all units of the program. Single unit enrolment will be permitted for those who are required to make up a failed grade. Specific grading schemes are used for each unit.

COLLEGE RULES

Dressing in blue jeans or other casual attire is encouraged.
All classes must be attended.
Students must be on time for every class.
Students will be required to keep their work areas clean.
Any disruptive behaviour will be grounds for dismissal.
